No Use For A Name at Yucca Tap Room

Categories: Concert Review

By Jonathan McNamara

"When you go to a free show, you get what you pay for," lead singer Tony Sly mumbled to a frenzied crowd of half-drunk punk enthusiasts at Yucca Tap Room, "a band that's been drinking since five."

Sly was honest on all counts, but he neglected to mention what a great show it was half-drunk punk bands aside.

Local boys The Revenge tore up the stage with monitors-over-the-shoulder antics.

Following them was the slightly more subdued Liar's Handshake who had the entire crowd clapping high into the air and screaming along to the lyrics.

All hell broke loose when Pulley took to the stage. Moshing ensued, changing fans near the stage to fans on the stage in one swift wave of punk fans.

By the time No Use finally had their turn they were standing in front of a crowd fueled by alcohol and prepped by hours of screaming punk rock.
