Black Crowes Canceled

The Black Crowes show at Mesa Arts Center, postponed yesterday, is now canceled. Refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Officially, the performance was canceled due to “illness.” That’s probably true, but we also have a few possible conspiracy theories:

• Concert poster featuring pubic hair emerging from an American flag bikini caused controversy when posted several blocks from the LDS temple.

• Disappointed that New Times music editor had already reviewed show before it happened. The “educated guess” preview review panned the show because Chris Robinson and the boys had not grown much from earlier shows.
