Folksy indie quirksters Polka Dot Dot are scheduled to visit the Trunk Space.

Normally we’d be putting this up tomorrow, but since it’ll be a holiday (and in all likelihood y’all will be out feting freedom, fireworks, and frankfurters for three days straight) we thought we’d give everyone an early warning on what bands and musicians are scheduled for this month’s First Friday in downtown Phoenix.

Use this handy map to plan your First Friday experience.

There’s a chance the galleries of Roosevelt Row and Grand Avenue might be ghost towns tomorrow, what with all the saluting of Lady Liberty and all (as well as the usual summer heat which tends to keep people away from the art walk from June to September each year). But if you’re in the mood for paintings instead of patriotism, here’s a rundown of some of those who’ll be providing the soundtrack at venues around downtown.

Brum Pate, The Old Lemon Tan, Hooves, & Golden Seahorses
