Phoenix is one of the most diverse cities on the West coast, and the eclectic, multi-cultured sounds on the Diverse-Fi Music label provide ample examples of the rich sonic stew we’ve got brewing in P-City. This week, we tip our hat to Diverse-Fi.

Why they’re hot:

Diverse-Fi hosts several roaring regular events around the Valley, including PAINT: Music Art Spoken Expression, the Annual Rhythm Soul Funke Show, DiverCity Monthly, and Afro:Baile.

Label founder DJ Seduce has been nominated for both “Best Jazz Artist” at the 2007 New Times Summer of Sound showcase, and “Best DJ” in 2007 and 2008 by The Arizona Republic.
