Before you escape the heat and flee for the for the hills with a tent and Swiss army knife, make sure you have the ultimate camping tool: an apron.

Camping is dirty, and whether you're manning the grill or tending to whittling injuries, this embroidered apron will help keep a few things handy. The embroidery pattern along the bottom of the apron was inspired by Jenny Hart's Sublime Stitching collection (but we skipped the iron-on pattern and opted to sketch out a few camping doodles ourselves).

Simple summer necklaces are a must. When you don't want to wear much in the way of clothing because it's damn hot, accessorizing really makes a difference.

This little number is inspired by Anthropologie's Merit Badge Necklace. Theirs is $88, but you can make your own for a couple of bucks.

Back Of Dress
The Royal Wedding is upon us, and it's OK to admit it -- you're excited. That's totally normal (at least we think so), because everyone loves a fairy tale, or at least the excuse to get all fancy, knit some dolls, make a huge cake and pretend like we know these people.

Using William and Kate's upcoming ceremony as inspiration, this Thrifty Maker transforms a late-1980s/early-1990s-style wedding dress into a contemporary wedding-ish dress with a touch of the hottest wedding trend: black, of course.

(NOTE: This Thrifty Maker put a call out on Facebook for a wedding dress and the offers came rushing in. Thank you Lisa for the donation.)

Word's out: Tomorrow, Jackalope Ranch is turning one year old, which means a birthday card for any fan of the mythological creature is in order. The hot pink jackalope had to be used, of course, and it seemed only fitting to go out with a stencil.

LOW RES Sunglasses with C copy.jpg

It's nearing summer, which means sunglasses are no longer a fashion statement but a necessity. But let's not let the personal style go.

We picked up a pair of bedazzled shades in Mesa's The Goods Store and decided to use a little inspiration to jazz up our own pair (and an equally necessary carrying case) by adding a healthy dose of cabochons, which can found in many stores on Etsy and at local crafty spots including SAS.

A Man's Dress Shirt, Restyled

Like everyone, the dry-cleaners make mistakes; a shirt's forgotten, a stain overlooked, or a shirt gets sent home in the middle of the wrong stack with the wrong owners.

So what do to if you're on the other end of that mistake and have hung onto someone else's item (namely, a man's dress shirt)? How about dyeing the shirt to hide the original identity and turning it into a mini-dress, instead?
