10 Life Lessons Learned from Bill Hader's Saturday Night Live Character Stefon (in GIFS)

New York's hottest club is called Stefon's donezo.

It's that thing where we are really, really bummed about Bill Hader leaving Saturday Night Live. This Saturday, May 18, the final SNL episode featuring Hader as a cast member will air on NBC. Hader has plans to move to Los Angeles with his family and continue making movies. (His IMDB page shows that he has some 11 projects in the works.) During his tenure on the comedy standby, Hader portrayed Julian Assange, James Carville, and Al Pacino, among others.

But we'll miss Hader's character Stefon most of all. The Weekend Update regular served as anchor Seth Meyers' city correspondent, who reported on hot new clubs, like You're Mother and I are Separating and Uuuuntz, and everything they offered (you know: Balogna Danza, Soul Patch Adams, black George Washington). Stefon taught us a lot. Here's a look back at some of the life lessons we learned.

Travel Channel's Making Monsters to Feature Chambers of Fear's Booth at Phoenix Comicon

The Chambers of Fear booth at last year's Phoenix Comicon.
Chambers of Fear owner Paul Boyd tends to get a little excited when describing everything that his company will be featuring at Phoenix Comicon this year. It's only natural, considering that the local haunted house's booth at the event will be twice as big as last year's and will sport even more monsters and frightening freaks wandering about.

And then there's the thing that Boyd's really excited about: the fact that the stars and crew of the Travel Channel's Making Monsters will be on hand at the Chambers of Fear booth during the first night of Comicon creating a spectacularly creepy creature while filming an episode of the television program.

Shaun Attwood (a.k.a. English Shaun) in a publicity photo for his book Hard Time.
One of the more infamous figures in the Valley's rave scene and local party monster lore has resurfaced in the media recently after being featured on the popular National Geographic Channel reality show Locked Up Abroad.

Shaun Attwood, the British-born gentleman who was the onetime kingpin of a massive local ecstasy drug ring (and a major promoter in the Phoenix underground dance party community) more than a decade ago, was profiled on a recent episode of the docudrama series titled "Raving Arizona." Besides chronicling the rise and fall of Attwood, who was known to many by his former moniker "English Shaun," and his Molly-dealing empire, it provides a look into the local rave scene of the late '90s and yet another frightening glimpse into Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's jails.

Our 10 Favorite Moments from RuPaul's Drag Race: Season 5

Season five of RuPaul's Drag Race is one of the most dramatic seasons to date. Unlike previous seasons, there was no clear winner from the get-go. We had a feeling Sharon Needles and Raja were going to win, and we're still disappointed that Tyra Sanchez beat out Raven and Jujubee in season two.

Jinkx Monsoon seems like a good bet since she excels at comedy and acting challenges. Alaska is another entertaining and funny queen, and Roxxxy Andrews serves up thick and juicy glamour and lots of attitude. We can't wait to see America's Next Drag Superstar get crowned Monday night on Logo. Until then, here's a look at season five's top 10 greatest moments.

Because there's no use in waiting for the trial to be over or or giving those involved a minute for closure, Lifetime has confirmed that a movie based on the Jodi Arias circus trial is currently in the works.

The reported working title: Dirty Little Secret: The Jodi Arias Story.

In case you haven't been tuned in to our coverage (featured in this week's New Times cover story "Psycho Killer: Jodi Arias' Kinky Death-Penalty Trial") watching the news in the past month, Jodi Arias is accused of killing ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander. Alexander was found in his house in 2008 with multiple stab wounds, a slit throat, and a gunshot to the head. The evidence trail led to the 32-year-old Arias, who recently wrapped up her testimony in Phoenix.

Girls
Bless the girls and guys of Lena Dunham's HBO television series Girls. Without them, we'd have far less awkward conversations with our boyfriends, mothers, and coworkers and even fewer reasons to talk about the seemingly ever-present boobs of Dunham, who's the writer, producer, and star of her own show.

There are countless reasons to love Girls and plenty of life lessons the four girlfriends (and their families, friends, and boyfriends) have taught us through the first and second seasons. As the second season finishes up this weekend, we're taking a look back at a few favorites.

Rob Thomas, Kristen Bell Raise $1.4 Million (and Counting) on Kickstarter to Fund Veronica Mars Film

Categories: Television

Veronica Mars
Hey, Veronica Mars fans, looks like you're getting a movie.

The teen-noir starring Kristen Bell kicked off in 2004 but was canceled in 2007. Ever since, Bell and creator Rob Thomas promised disappointed fans that they'd try to shoot a movie. Warner Brothers executives (who own rights to the Mars series) told Thomas and Bell they'd support the film if there was enough crowd support, so the two turned to Kickstarter and raised a cool $1.4 million in five hours.

The Five Best Wes Anderson Commercials

Fans will know Rushmore's red berets and the furry hat from Anderson's newest film, Moonrise Kingdom.
Those who enjoy film director Wes Anderson's visual style, witty dialouge, and sepia-soaked color schemes -- well, they just get it. Some people, actually a lot of people, don't. There's very little middle ground on the subject, which is why he might not be a natural choice to direct commercials for national ad campaigns.

But that hasn't prevented companies from paying him to produce spots completely soaked in all aspects of his signature style. There are plenty out there, but we gathered a few of our favorites for the five best Wes Anderson-directed commercials to date.

Lena Dunham's coming-of-age in New York drama-comedy has made headlines for nudity, drawn criticism for diversity, and posed questions for viewers that range in age, gender, and familiarity with New York.

There are plenty of reasons to love Girls ... and plenty of reasons why you don't want to watch it with your mom or relatively new boyfriend/girlfriend. But for those of you still wondering whether you should be tuning in, we've created a guide.
