What: It's no easy task to feel (or for that matter look) cute when you're sweating buckets between drying out in hyper-air-conditioned buildings. Flushed faces, thighs sticking to seats, the impossibility of maintaining a hairstyle, and dreaded crack sweat -- it's all in the fun of a desert summer.

What: Pinned together with a sterling silver band are three turquoise discs that serve as the focal point of this ring from Tempe-based jewelry designer Ashley Weber's Against the Grain. Like most of her pieces, this one's simple, eye-catching, and, most importantly, totally covetable. That's not to mention that turquoise is back in a big way -- making appearances in stone and tone form in Tracy Reese's Anthropologie capsule collection and Anna Dello Russo's upcoming H&M jewelry collab.

What: We caught up with Katie Walker of kt jean last week when one of her designs appeared on The Martha Stewart Show's Etsy-centric episode. And since then, well, we can't manage to avert our eyes from her dreamy creations. Case in point: the Farah dress. Its '60s-inspired silhouette floats away from the body, and the vertical open slit at the neckline closes with a small button.

What: There's no beating around the gorgeously manicured bush, we are Orla Kiely fangirls. The Irish designer's bedding will be available stateside at Bed, Bath & Beyond in May, and spotting her spring accessories at Frances only reminded us of our desire to surround ourselves with her simple, naturalistic aesthetic, which often incorporates patterns of plants and wildlife. Out of all the carry-worthy loot, the favorite we spotted was a soft leather version of Kiely's supple, sturdy Willow tote in a barely-there pink blush accented with tangerine handles and zipper pull.

What: For those in search of the perfect festival bag, stop looking. No seriously. We already found the perfect clutch that's stylish, slightly worn, and will totally fit a mini bottle of sunscreen. Part hippie and part rocker, this vintage chocolate leather clutch is lightweight and full of quirks -- like a fold-out handbag strap, brass hardware, little inner pockets, and a hidden kisslock closure.

Antique Sugar on Etsy

What: We can already hear the sorority sisters crying, "Wahh. It's getting haaawt. Time to squeeze into those tiny terry cloth shorts with 'CALL ME!' emblazoned on the booty, see-through tank tops, and Uggs. 'Cause warm weather means we don't have to bother getting dressed, amiryyyyte?"

Nope. Sorry. Wrong.

Look, there's a way to dress casually and not look like you just served as sloppy seconds after a beer pong tourney. Not every day is an Undie Run. Consider, if you will, a super-soft, lightweight vintage T-shirt -- like Antique Sugar's vintage, carrot orange Harley-Davidson shirt.

What: Arizona's first Madewell opened at Scottsdale Fashion Square yesterday, and we were lucky to pick up one of the shop's limited edition Arizona-themed canvas tote bags inked in navy.

On the carryall are factoids about the state, with mention of copper, Tombstone, bolo ties ("Fit to be tied? Not exactly."), Four Corners, and hummingbirds.

A salesperson let us know that the new shop could run out of the totes by the end of the day -- and that was yesterday afternoon. So there's a chance that they've all been snapped up, making the super cute bag all the more enviable.

What: Monique Sandoval's line Ouma specializes in whimsy, airy womenswear. After spotting and loving the formal dress she designed for Project Ethos at The Mint, it's no surprise that we'd be thinking about her delicate, tiered dresses come wedding season. (Sandoval makes some gorgeous wedding dresses, too.)

This purple ombre skirt is shorter and more casual than the gown she showed in fall, but it captures the same floating feminine essence that we loved about it. It's easy to envision the graduated grape piece as part of an eye-catching ensemble for a spectacularly dressed attendee.

He's screaming, "Spring breaaaak!"

What: When it comes to spring break accessories, we look for pieces that are casual and more adventurous than our everyday bric-a-brac.

That's why we're drawn to Clutch Jewelry's Tasman charm, a metallic version of the two-faced tiki that represents anger and pain -- which naturally we equated to vacation sunburns and the fact that we cannot forever inhabit distant paradisaical 'scapes. To each her own tan lines, right?
