The day has arrived when even a social media flowchart cannot tell you where the F#*K to post that.

Introducing the Instagram Socialmatic Camera, a camera that looks like the Instagram app icon, stores images as digital files with a 16GB memory stick, and has an internal printer that can shoot out square-shaped, high-flare, overly saturated images of your latte, pug, or latest self-portrait taken in the front seat of your car (seat belt still buckled, natch).

The establishment formerly known as the Lexington Hotel, which is soon to become a new boutique hotel.

Anyone need some gaudy and garish-looking hotel furniture and accessories? The Lexington Hotel certainly has plenty, and is currently selling off all its furnishings in preparation for its much-anticipated and long-delayed renovation into a boutique hotel.

Signs declaring that "everything must go" are hanging from the front of the downtown Phoenix hotel, which shut its doors in late April and will begin its transformation into a chic auberge over the next few months.

The new Bodega 420, which is scheduled to open Thursday.

The enclave of arty businesses near Fifth and Roosevelt streets includes a little bit of everything, including boutiques, a bookstore, and a beer joint. Starting tomorrow, you can add Bodega 420 to that alliterative list.

The neighborhood store, which is co-owned by Jobot's John Sagasta and local immigration attorney Adrian Fontes, will make its debut on Thursday. And according to the pair, Bodega 420 will -- fittingly enough -- offer "a little bit of everything."

While its shelves are stocked with an odds-and-sods collection mostly of condiments and snack foods (read: ramen, candy, and cookies), the store will offer more groceries, dry goods, and supplies in the weeks ahead, Sagasta says. Eventually, he says, that will include canvases and paints for artists, tire repair kits for cyclists, and cigarettes.

A Sneak Peek at Letterpress Central: The Paper Studio's New Workshop Space

Gary and Cindy Iverson of Letterpress Central
Cindy and Gary Iverson are happy to admit they have really cool jobs.

Cindy's an artist who specializes in mixed media and paper arts. Gary's a chemical engineer. In 2005, they opened The Paper Studio, where they made paper and printed stationery for online sales. They used their space in Tempe to host a few classes and threw the occasional parking lot sale.

Last year, the couple found an old preschool at 6185 W. Detroit Street in Chandler and the dreaming began. They needed more space for their machines and supplies and they wanted to host more classes.

A few months later -- after a couple renovations, joining forces with letterpress pro Mike O'Connor, paper maker Donna Eyring, Anne Hernandez, and Star DeLuna -- they're opening the doors of Letterpress Central, a huge space for online retail, workshops, and of course, plenty of love for paper and letterpress.

Some of the various monsters of Mesa's Monsterland.
Downtown Mesa will be invaded by an abundance of curious and colorful characters during Second Friday this weekend, and we aren't talking about the usual assortment of funky steampunks or quirky artists that frequent the monthly event.

Instead, we're referring to all the werewolves, demons, succubi, horror movie icons, and other creepy creatures that will populate of Monsterland Bar & Grill, which opens its doors to the public on Friday.

The haunted house located along Mesa's Main Street will debut its recent transformation into a horror-themed nightclub and restaurant after a four-month-long renovation process that included installing a bar, dance floor, and outdoor patio seating.

The construction site for the Concord Eastridge housing project along Roosevelt Row.
There's a massive dust cloud that hangs over the fenced-off site at Fourth and Roosevelt streets every weekday as a flurry of construction workers are busy digging the foundation for the enormous residential complex being built by developer Concord Eastridge.

Construction is in full swing on the $52 million dollar housing project, which will create a pair of gleaming metal and glass apartment buildings on a three-acre site along Fourth Street.

When the project is completed next June, the two buildings (each measuring seven and eight stories) will tower over nearby galleries and change the face of the Roosevelt Row arts district.

Solar Panels Headed to Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West

TALIESIN WEST PRESS IMAGES 007.jpg
FLW Foundation
It must have been intimidating. Less than six weeks on the job and Sean Malone, CEO of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, had to announce that he was installing solar panels at Taliesin West, making it one of the first structures in the National Register of Historic Places and on the National Historic Landmarks list to "go renewable."

Malone, modestly, shakes it off.

"To be able to be a visible example of environmental stewardship -- there aren't many historical landmarks that could do this," he says. "We can, and it's because of Frank Lloyd Wright's history of innovation and responsible use of resources."

Read all about the Frank Lloyd Wright exhibition at Phoenix Art Museum in this week's art review by New Times' Kathleen Vanesian. Find more about the push for energy at Taliesin West after the jump...

Aaron Johnson proudly sorts through a crate of zines.
Roosevelt Row's Lawn Gnome is about to be infused with owner Aaron Johnson's personal collection of self-published zines from authors all over the globe.

The 29-year-old is an internationally traveled slam poet and fixture of the downtown Phoenix art scene -- and he's a longtime zine aficionado.

Since 2004, the wordsmith says he's self-published five zines of his own work, helped over 40 others get published, and amassed around 300 zines in his personal collection. As Johnson builds more shelves into his used bookstore, he says that the collection will be stocked, priced, and ready for visitors to buy.
