The Scottsdale International Film Festival gets bigger and bigger every year.
It's official-- Scottsdale's premier film festival event is coming back for its 14th year of screening local and independent flicks. Last year's Scottsdale International Film Festival hosted 9,000 attendees, making it second in attendance only to the Phoenix Film Festival. This year, you can join in on the fun during the event's five day and night run at Harkins Shea 14 from Thursday, October 9, through Monday, October 13.

This year's SCIFF will kick off festivities at an opening night reception on October 9 at Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts. All other festival events, including screenings, will take place at Harkins Shea 14 in Scottsdale.

While ticketing information and the full festival lineup for 2014 have not yet been released, the 2013 event featured 55 films and a full event pass was $45. It was a pretty killer deal, considering audiences got to see the Oscar-nominated August: Osage County (among many other films).
