10 Art Classes for Adults This Summer in Metro Phoenix
Contrary to popular belief, you have to be neither an artist nor a child to take an art class. You might not be the next Monet, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun honing your painting technique. From sand casting to alternative printing, the art classes in metro Phoenix this summer span an array of artistic disciplines. Phoenix Center for the Arts
May 12 through June 9, Mondays 6 to 9 p.m.
This class will give you a quick taste of some of the ways you can work with recycled glassware to create something new. If you've been eyeing those recycled wine bottle projects on Pinterest, this is the class for you. Sign up online or call 602-254-3100.
Edna Vihel Activity Center
June 2 through July 21, Mondays 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
If you're just getting your start with painting, this class will guide you through the fundamentals. Students get to work with oil, acrylic, and watercolor, and will learn to make brush strokes, mix colors, and paint from photographs and still life works. For more info, visit www.tempe.gov.
