Pancakes and Booze Art Show Returns to The Duce This Friday
There are plenty of ways to measure an epic night out: booze, body paint, drunkenly consuming a short stack at two in the morning....
Fortunately for us, this Friday night promises to be one of them, as Los Angeles creative Tom Kirlin brings his Pancakes and Booze Art Show back to Phoenix.
Happening from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at The Duce, this underground art show will be a wild exhibition of 50 local and emerging artists including Dan Aponte, Jason Begay, Julie Rouse, John Yerden, Kelly Birg, Stefan Wilson, and Deidra Neitz. Expect live audio and visual performances from DJ Adidas, Pastries with Teeth, and Tonic Kemistry.
If that's not enough to see and take in, the event also will be complemented by live body painting and an all-you-can-eat pancake bar with all the fixings -- bananas, chocolate, berries, syrup, etc.
Kirlin founded the event in Los Angeles in 2009 and has since spread it across the country with roughly two shows per month in cities including Chicago, Miami, and San Francisco. He chatted with us about his plans for Pancakes and Booze in Phoenix and what newcomers can expect.
