Burton Barr Central Library

With plenty of seating areas and quiet corners, the library is the perfect place to zone out and get your nerd on. Visit the library website and stay updated on monthly happenings, such as book readings, Internet classes, and Minecraft game nights. Burton Barr is located 1221 North Central Avenue on the light-rail route.
Game CoLab opened its doors just this year, and it has been a total hit. This members-only collaborative work space is focused on all things gaming-related -- and it's known to throw some mean parties. Membership prices range from $10 a month, which will get you basic access to the facility and events such as gaming nights every Tuesday. For $195 a month, you'll get a private desk. If you've got your gaming shiz on lockdown, $350 to $425 per month will get you a private office. If you're not ready to commit, just pay the $15 daily drop-in rate. The company is in the process of moving, so it's currently not open. But the new location will be unveiled soon. Keep an eye on www.gamecolab.org for updates.
