Classic Arcade Corner Competition @ Gotham City Comics
Downtown Mesa gets its game face on with ThinGAMEajig, a Second Friday evening of board, arcade, and card play. In on the fun, Gotham City Comics will host a competitive crew of joystick wielders in addition to the shop's weekly Magic: The Gathering get-together.
Winners can rack up points and prizes taking on Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig-Dug, and Dragon's Lair starting at 6 p.m. Friday. Tournament entry is free.
Orange Theatre's Spring Mixer @ Phoenix Center for the Arts
Orange Theatre breaks in its new space at Phoenix Center for the Arts at 7 p.m. Friday with food from Joya Scott, cocktails mixed by Titus Fauntleroy, and musical entertainment from North Brother Island, Troi Lowney, and Elizabeth Kennedy Bayer. There's a suggested donation of $8.
