FilmBar Brings a Star-Studded Lineup of French Films to Downtown Phoenix
Inject a little culture into your weekly film routine by dropping into FilmBar throughout the month of March for the Rendez-Vous with French Cinema event. The 18th edition of this series of French-only flicks has a lot of great entries, but we know the five films you'd be très stupide to pass up.
This film fest has everything: moody out-of-love stories, dark cartoons, and historical documentaries.

Thérèse Desqueyroux
Showing: March 3 at 2 p.m.
Based on the novel by François Mauriac, Audrey Tatou, everyone's favorite French indie actress post-Amélie, plays a recently married woman who becomes increasingly dissatisfied with her provincial, routine life. The late Claude Miller's final film promises to be an instant classic -- if you're into irksome women in period pieces.
