While we cannot claim to be one with the cult of Oprah, that sure didn't stop us from looking through every single item on her list of Favorite Things for this year -- all of the 50-plus odds, ends, and assorted thingies she honors with her endohhhhrsement.

Every holiday season since 1996, O has signed off on everything imaginable from cars and cheeses to ponchos and candles. For our 2012 shopping excursions, Oprah recommends peanut butter, luxury skincare products, and a mattress, among other goodies. Of course, not everything is worth hunting down (or even pushing through the enter-to-win process). That's why we've sifted through to unearth the gems and leave behind the losers.

The Wants
If we gave ourselves a Parks and Recreation-style day of treating ourselves/yoselves, these would be our top picks. We dream of dreaming away our sleeping hours on TempurPedic's Tempur Cloud Supreme queen-size mattress ($2,699). If ever we felt inspired to get out of bed (unlikely), we'd sip a freshly brewed cup from our Nespresso Lattissima ($399) and say things like "Ramona" and "Neapolitano."

Then, we'll color our pouts with lipstick from Tom Ford. Winfrey picked these four flattering shades ($192 for the set), wearable day, night, and whenever else we want to ooze gorgeousness. Two more picks we couldn't take our eyes off: Earth Balance's peanut-coconut butter spread ($15) to match our well-documented affair with the legume and a set of kelly green lacquered boxes and trays from Swing Design ($70 to $120).
