El Dia De Los Muertos in Chandler
Dia De Los Muertos means so much more than folks sporting sugar skull make up -- the Mexican holiday is actually meant for honoring the dead. Plenty of families with skeleton face paint came to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park on Saturday, November 3 for the 33rd Annual El Dia De Los Muertos: A Celebration of Life to pay homage to loved ones and to indulge in Mexican culture through art, music, live performances, and food. First Friday in Downtown Phoenix, 11/02/12
With the election on the horizon, it's no surprise that tons of political pieces made their way into this month's First Friday artwalk. Cooler temperatures and plenty of friendly faces make November a great time to stroll Roosevelt Row and Grand Avenue.

Chow Bella and Roosevelt Row's Pie Social 2012
It'll be at least a month - ok, maybe a week - until we can taste another pie after Chow Bella and Roosevelt Row's Pie Social 2012. Hundreds of Valley pie lovers came out to taste the creative, crusted creations of fourteen celebrity chefs and community bakers. Complimented by a croquet tournament, live music, and some spontaneous swing dancing, we ate and ate and ate the day away. And if you think you know pie, we promise, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Crescent Ballroom Halloween Costume Ball
Crescent Ballroom is a fun place to spend Halloween night -- there were tons of costumed folks dancing thanks to the impressive roster of DJs and a live performance by Nite Jewel. Sean Watson was set to host the evening, but he got stuck in New York City thanks to Sandy, so Psyko Steve filled his shoes. Check out a monster on stilts, Disney princesses, the cast of The Life Aquatic and more in the Crescent Ballroom Halloween slideshow.
