For one night a year, the fashion-conscious flock to shops, malls, and boutiques across the Valley for giveaways, perks, and drool-worthy discounts, all in the name of Fashion's Night Out.

As there's an overwhelming number of FNO fun going down all over the state (and country) on Thursday, September 6, we picked out a handful of events that made it onto our planner.
Hair-Braiding Bar @ Madewell

Appealing to our inner desire for an old-fashioned sleepover, the crew at Madewell will host a hair-braiding bar starting at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available. Any shopper who spends more than $100 will receive a state-themed tote (the same Arizona-centric bag that was available at the Fashion Square shop's grand opening).
Little Black Dress Challenge @ Neiman Marcus
Vote for your favorite LBD sketch from a select bunch of former Phoenix Fashion Week emerging designers (and meet the creative bunch) on Neiman Marcus' second floor dress department starting at 5 p.m. Sport a little black dress for a chance to win a VIP package for two to Phoenix Fashion Week in October.
The Art of Fashion @ Neiman Marcus
The LBD challenge is just one slice of the massive undertaking that is Neiman's FNO celebration from 5 to 8 p.m. Haps include meet-and-greets with artist John Palmer and designer Oday Shakar, the Project Ruff-way dog fashion show, a trend fashion show (for humans), and trunk shows from YSL and Valentino. Bubbly will be served and beats will emanate from the cafe lounge.
