Premium Rush Alleycat at Tempe Beach Park
David Koepp's Premium Rush pedals into theaters this weekend. The bike messenger thriller stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a delivery dude who gets mixed up in a big ole mess of Manhattan traffic, dramatic phone calls from concerned biking pals, and Michael Shannon as a scary crooked cop who implies he'll murder J. Go-Le (totally good nickname, right?) and maybe his family, too.
State Bicycle Co. will put its own spin on the new release Friday when it hosts the Premium Rush Alleycat, which organizers say will be "fixie as fuggghhhh."
Ride. Like. Hell. on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Tempe Beach Park. Note: There probably won't be any bad guys chasing you (sorry). Movie tickets will be arranged with race entry.
