Etsy Hosts a Worldwide Craft Party This Friday
Craft fiends, it's time to pack a few supplies and your essential tools. Etsy's Craft Party is this Friday and will be taking over living rooms, hipster coffee shops, kitchen tables, patios, empty office spaces (you get the idea) around the world.

"Craft Party is a time to get to know your neighbors and exercise your creative spirit. Craft Parties take place around the world when communities come together to participate in art, craft, design and DIY in every form."
And while the crafting time and place is up to you, there are a few opportunities to get involved with creative minds in Phoenix ...
This Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., the Tempe Etsy community will host a weekend of crafting alongside fellow Etsy members at 1837 W. Guadalupe Rd., Suite 107 in Mesa. Admission is free, though a $5 minimum purchase of the venue's food and drink is requested to reserve a spot.
"This year's theme is Wish You Were Here," according to the Etsy website. "We encourage you to work together on projects that reflect your hometown. Think about local and regional crafts, music, style and food; ways to pay tribute to a notable landmark or place; an activity that tells local lore through handmade means; or any creative project that has local flavor. It's up to you to decide how you showcase the theme at your party -- go wild!"
