Suzy Homewrecker's Freaky and Fun Fetish Fashion
By day, Suzy Homewrecker is the supervisor of a local laboratory that studies pathology and immunohistochemistry. At night or on the weekends, however, the 30-year-old crimson-haired vixen becomes a tough-as-nails roller derby queen, a tattooed punk princess, an industrial music DJ, or a gothy go-go dancer. It all depends on her particular mood or whatever event she's planning on attending.
Andy Hartmark Suzy Homewrecker: Roller derby queen, fetish model, go-go girl, and shoe freak.
Fortunately, the fetish model and onetime Suicide Girl is more than fully prepared for any and all occasion, as her red-drenched closet is packed with plenty of outfits -- running the gamut from sexy to chic to surreal -- as well as hundreds of pairs of shoes of every shape and size.
Besides being a shoe freak and boasting a closet containing corsets and pleather aplenty, Homewrecker is also a fashion designer who creates funk and punky clothing for her Hell on Heels Couture label, which is on display at such freaky-deaky fetish events and club nights Cupcake! at the Rogue Bar in Scottsdale and Fallout Shelter at Sanctum, where she often dresses in black paramilitary wear and performs as DJ Defense.Mekanizm.

What are you wearing right now?
A black Sourpuss Clothing "Formaldehyde" shirt, a red and black leopard Lip Service Skirt, black tights with red devil pitchforks, eight-inch platform shoes from New Rock, an A for Arsenic heart shaped necklace with silver spikes all over the front, black bondage belt with O-rings from Shirts 'n' Things.
Can you tell us a little bit about your style?
I love gothic/industrial looks. Anything evil or crazy. I was always called a "skater" for dressing like a weirdo, now I am always asked, "Are you in roller derby?" I think to myself, "How did they know? Oh, [it] must be the knee high socks and torn fishnets." I wore the same style since the '90s. I like a huge variety of styles. One day I will dress psychobilly, the next day more punk, that night a Betsey Johnson dress for dinner. [It] depends on where I am going. I like to alter all my clothing too, or add accessories to mesh styles. I adore costumes. I have quite a collection.
What is the last item of clothing you bought?
Suzy Homewrecker performing as DJ Defense.Mekanizm
Pentagram pants from Toxic Vision.
Where do you usually shop?
Razors Edge in Tucson, Unforgotten Saints on Melrose in Hollywood, Buffalo Exchange, Lip Service Warehouse in L.A., and I make clothes because there are very limited [amounts] of clothing stores in Phoenix to shop at for the style I like.
Fashion trend you can't stand?
Basically everything "in style" right now. I go to the mall and I am in horror at the sight of the ugliest floral patterns (Blossom would be so disappointed) mixed with plaid rags. Kurt Cobain is rolling in his grave as we speak. What is worse? You look down and they all have these Christ-looking sandals on. Leave the '90s in the past please and propel towards future styles.
