Classic Album Thursdays at Old Town Whiskey.
Last week was 1969. This week is 1975. Next week could be anywhere before, after or in between at The Saguaro's Old Town WhiskeyClassic Album Thursday is Mr. P-Body's classic rock equivalent of a time machine... or it's just a good excuse to relax, to drink a couple creative cocktails and to put on some of your favorite old school records.

Old Town Whiskey's golden glow.
The Bar: Old Town Whiskey lives up to its name thanks to the bar's golden glow and the over 100 varieties of whiskey, bourbon, rye and scotch. The resident mixologists muddle many a cutting edge cocktail inspired by Classic Album Thursdays. This week was 1975 but the drink special, a $6 Pimm's Cup 9, was inspired by The Beatles 1968 release,The White Album

The Music: Mr. P-Body celebrates all things vinyl by selecting a year from the past and playing a few of its best albums from start to finish. This week's year was 1975 and the records of choice were Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. While Classic Album Thursday is mostly classic rock, Mr. P-Body has been known to mix it up with old school hip hop and electronic music.

The People: A younger crowd would feel right at home, but this Thursday featured a rather quiet older group.

Keeping it cool and casual.
The Style: "Scottsdale doesn't have to be all fake boobs and velvet ropes," according to Mr. P-Body. The classic rock aficionados and complex cocktail cravers proved this sentiment to be true with their casual low key looks.

What we loved: We loved the cool atmosphere, the creative cocktail concoctions and the classic rock chops of Mr. P-Body.

What we didn't love: While we enjoyed the cucumber-y Pimm's Cup 9, for the sake of cohesion we wish the drink specials would have had something to do with Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or even 1975.

Are we going back? We can't wait to find out what year it will be next week.
