Nostra Style House Opens on Sixth Street in Downtown Phoenix

The GROWop and Butter Toast, two of our favorite hunting grounds for vintage treasures in downtown Phoenix, welcomed a new (and stylish) neighbor last month. Located in a converted historic home on Sixth Street, Nostra Style House is a new boutique in the former Roose Salon space on Roosevelt Row.
Style-wise, Nostra straddles the line that separates super-curated, small spots like Bunky Boutique from the many Downtown vintage retailers. Its collection includes pieces from small designers and handpicked items from Phoenix-based Ebay shop Annie Boomer Vintage (which runs out of an office at the back of the store).

"I want it to be a place for the girl who wants to make a statement," Gonzalez says of her store, adding that she'll be picky when it comes to bringing in new items. "I want to keep it a very fabulous collection."
Gonzalez currently carries pieces from Gentle Fawn, Vieleck, Lovers + Friends, vintage picks from Annie Boomer, and jewelry pieces from local accessory designer Vida Vazquez. She says in the future she'd like to expand the shop's stock to include local designers including Tiffe Fermaint and Arizona transplants Arte Puro, a duo now designing out of New York.
