Jen Deveroux's Big Whig Fashion Show Renamed and Rescheduled for January

Lucky for those with an eye for alternative apparel, the event has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 28, and moved to Crescent Ballroom.
Its new name? Animal Royale. Its new premise? Besides showcasing a slew of local, alternative designers, event organizer Jen Deveroux is melding animalistic elements (think models marching in resin antlers or masks) with the already eye-catching/eyebrow-raising clothes.

Animal Royale will feature the following local designers: Pierced Heart, Kelly Calabrese, Catrina La Dell, Vaulted, Sticker Club Girl, Dolls R'nt Dead, Hell on Heels Couture, Cultic Clothing, Miisconstrued, Ordi & Eli, Haus of Stardust, and Chadwick The Jeweler. Its new name? Animal Royale. Its new premise? These same designers are part of a partnership that Deveroux is founding: The Alternative Fashion Society. "It's a group of people in Arizona that I'm gathering," she says. "All the fashion designers with non-mainstream art."
She plans to host four seasonal fashion shows a year in hopes of garnering some attention for creative types who wouldn't necessarily fit in at other major local fashion events like Phoenix Fashion Week.
Animal Royale will also include a dance performance from tribal belly dance troupe Ghazaal Beledi, and spinning sets from DJs Tricky T, Jared Alan, and Sean Watson. Admission will be $10.
