Meet author Christopher Paolini at the Burton Barr Central Library, on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m., as he discusses his latest work Inheritance.

Inheritance is the anticipated conclusion to the book series, which includes EragonEldest, and Brisinger

Paolini's story began when Eragon, a poor farm boy, found a blue stone and stumbled upon his destiny as a Dragon Rider. Now, he and his loyal dragon, Saphira, must confront Galbatorix.

Author Christopher Paolini was home-schooled by his parents in Montana and graduated at the age of 15 after completing correspondence courses. Shortly after, he began working on his first fantasy novel, Eragon. The book was self-published by Paolini and his parents before it was picked up by Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers and quickly became a New York Times' bestseller.

The event will take place in the library's second floor Reading Room. Fans can pre-purchase the book at Changing Hands Bookstore to receive a "priority signing line ticket" for the book signing, or pick up a ticket during business hours on Dec. 3 at the Burton Barr Central Library Welcome Desk. Tickets are first come, first served.

Changing Hands Bookstore will donate a portion of the net proceeds
from sales connected to the event to the Phoenix Public Library Foundation to support teen programming at the Library.
