The daylong to-do is hosted by the Grand Avenue Merchants' Association, which includes lower Grand Avenue (a district loosely bordered by 7th and 16th avenues) as well as Bikini Lounge, Kooky Krafts, and Bragg's Pie Factory to name a few of its business and art space members.
There's a ton going on, and we'll guarantee you're not going to want to miss these three events.
3. Untrashed Recycled Rubbish Fashion Show
The challenge: Create an outfit. The really challenging part: Items used to create this outfit must be so-called junk or trash (think: beer cans or grocery bags).

The designs will be on display for the following two months at Bragg's as part of the "Trashy Sculpture" show.

Get an inside look at commercial gems along and around Grand during the day's educational and exploratory ReDapt Tours.

Get an inside look at commercial gems along and around Grand during the day's educational and exploratory ReDapt Tours.
The historian-led tour includes stops at the Gannaway buildings, a converted corner market, Funk Lab, and Chocolate Factory, along with a rundown of Grand's commercial development history.
Tickets are $10 and available here. Tours will take place between 3 and 7 p.m..

Pick up local artist Jenny Ignaszewski's pamphlet "Mural Street Love" during the festival, and take yourself on a tour of the neighborhood's public art, which includes murals from Francisco Garcia, El Mac, Luster Kaboom, and others with a passion for putting paint on walls.
