Hours may be limited, but some local grand dames are keeping busy this summer, making and selling wares out of Grand Avenue studios and shops -- thanks in large part to the wonders of etsy.com. See what Beatrice Moore of Kooky Krafts, Kate Benjamin of Moderncat Studio and the ladies (and gentlemen) of Indie ArtHouse are up to, and learn how to buy it -- after the jump.
Beatrice Moore's Kooky Krafts is in full swing -- on her etsy shop -- even if her shop is closed for a bit.

The latest addition to the Grand Ave retail scene is Indie ArtHouse, an artist-run collective that's currently open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., located at 1504 NW Grand Avenue.

And Kate Benjamin's Moderncat Studio hasn't opened its doors lately, but chances are good that you already know all about her hairball jewelry project, most recently featured in the pages of the National Examiner. (This girl and her cats get around!)
Benjamin's still selling modern furniture and accessories for cats -- all made in her Grand Ave. studio -- on her etsy shop.

Indie ArtHouse will be open this Third Friday, August 19, from 6 to 10 p.m. with an opening featuring comic book artist Russ Kazmierczak of Amazing Arizona Comics, with musical guests Serene Dominic, Robin Graves, and Dakota Slim.
