Old Town Tavern is a bar with many faces. The cozy and rather cramped interior of the bar has a pub feel. The upstairs area resembles a fort or treehouse. The outdoor patio/alley has a much more open and relaxed vibe, which is perfect for enjoying a bucket of beer and listening to bands such as
Dirty Lingo on Saturday nights.

The Bar: Just like how dirty deeds are done dirt cheap, the beers at Old Town Tavern are just as cheap when bands like Dirty Lingo are playing. The Scottsdale bar's Summer special is a five bottle bucket. Corona buckets go for $15. Miller Lite and Coors Light are slightly more affordable at $12. The real bargain is the Pabst Blue Rubbon bucket, which is just $10.
The Music: Saturdays at Old Town Tavern feature a bevy of local bands. Dirty Lingo are one of the regulars on the bar's outdoor stage. The majority of their set consisted of classic rock covers but it included a few alternative rock originals. The electric cello was one of the highlights of the group's performance.

The People: There was a diverse crowd of older and younger groups. The younger people appeared to be there for the music, whereas the older folks were there more for the mellow ambience.
The Style: The relaxed environment of Old Town Tavern inspired similar choices in fashion. Most of the girls had on cute summery dresses while the guys kept it cool with shorts and short sleeves.
What we loved: The outdoor patio could have been pretty sweaty but the beer bargains and extensive mister set-up helped keep the heat out of mind.

What we didn't love: The somewhat makeshift outdoor stage, which is just a section of the alley separated by a few plants and a dumpster.
Would we go back? Free music and cheap beer? We think so.
