Lalo Cota on Tacos de Juarez

Categories: Visual Art
It's about time Phoenix sees some serious mural love. In the interest of giving credit to their artists and because we're losing track of the times we've said, "Woah, when did that go up?", we bring you Mural City, a series on the murals springing up around town -- their artists, their hosts and their inspirations.

If the crazy weather continues today, you might not be able to catch Lalo Cota working on his mural at Tacos de Juarez on Roosevelt Road, just north of Seventh Street. But his skeletons are in progress and should be done by the New Year.

Cota's been a mural machine -- you can see more of his work on Carly's Bistro, the Bee's Knees and along Grand Avenue.

Check out more photos, including the massive rooster he painted on the side of the building, after the jump ...

I love the mural coverage, but please wait until they are done!

Thanks Jason! We've been putting up things-in-progress so people can check them out while the artist is working ... but I'll be sure to update when it's done!
