1. List five things on your inspiration wall (real or imaginary):
People who dedicate themselves selflessly to community activism.

2. What was your last big project?
"The Eagle & The Serpent: A History of Mexico Abridged" about the history of Mexico spanning 30,000 years. As a dramatist this was a joy to work on because of the colorful drama that makes up Mexico history.

[The show opens on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. at the Arizona Latino Arts and Cultural Center in Phoenix, for location and ticket information, click here.]

  3. What's your next big project? Amexica: Tales from the Fourth World.
A multi-disciplinary performance piece about a poet who travels the breadth of the U.S.-Mexico border, as well as the past and future, in search of the roots of his inspiration.

4. Why do you do what you do?

I'm addicted to doing things that matter, at least in small ways, to the world I occupy.

5. What's something you want Phoenix to know about you (and if you're game, what's something you DON'T want Phoenix to know about you?)
I'd like people to know that everything I do is motivated by contributing something useful and good to our collective community.

Check out Ruth Vichules, an almost Tempe native who has wandered around Mexico learning and recording folk music and expounding upon it in her own musical performances. She tells really funny stories about herself, her work, and her travels. http://www.ruthlaravichules.co...

You forgot to mention that James Garcia is the worst English lecturer I have had at ASU, by far. He is so agenda driven that he will completely ignore the subject matter that the class is supposed to focus on in order to force the students to read the hacked, semi-racist ramblings that are his plays. F the students, right? As long as they are reading Garcia's work, they don't need to learn the fundamental building blocks of English literature. His entire class will feel shortchanged and behind well into their academic careers due to his malfeasance and laziness.

I don't care about your one-sided experience in a classroom, you sound like a shitty student anyway. "Malfeasance?" You've been reading too much of the other "James." James Patterson.

My experience was far from one-sided. In fact, the head of the English department evaluated his performance and dismissed him mid-semester. As far as James Patterson goes, I have never read his work. However, it has to be better than half of the shit articles I've seen under your byline. Isn't the "Night and Day" section where half-wit college grads go until they get a real writing gig? You don't have to stand up for this assbag just because you gave him halfway decent head one time and he complimented you on your technique.

PSStop showing off your lower stomach at public readings where cameras are present, the Youtube community thanks you in advance.
