Jenny Poon is the creator and owner of eeko studio, an eco-friendly design and branding boutique, and the brainchild behind CO+HOOTS, a coworking space in Phoenix. She has built her career around solving problems. Jenny's passion is in hearing and understanding the unique perspectives everyone has and how these different perspectives can work to make great change. She lives by the motto NO SHAME. Heck, she goes by "Poondingo" on all her social media accounts.

Favorite quote: "Well behaved women rarely make history." -- Laurel Thatcher

1. Name five things on your inspiration wall (real or imaginary):
-My mom. She is insanely talented and driven. She always challenges me to be outrageous.
-My husband. Who is the most patient man in the world and my biggest fan. I am so jealous of how he can be so calm when I'm a total nutcase.
-The book Zag. I read it over and over again because it keeps my brain fresh and from exploding.
-Domo. Because Domo should be on everyone's inspiration wall.
-The Art of Looking Sideways: Because this book is filled with little things (postcards, letters, photos) picked up from all over the world, placed in a random order and all have their own story.

2. What was your last big project?
CO+HOOTS. A creative coworking space for Phoenix that launched in July. The response has been outstanding.

Most of my ideas come to me when I get frustrated about something that isn't working like it should. In this case, the problem was that many creative entrepreneurs didn't have an affordable workplace to build their business and be inspired. I find problems that effect my life and think ... there HAS to be a better way of doing this. Then I spend an inordinate amount of time thinking through what can be done to solve this problem and how to implement it effectively.

3. What's your next big project?
I'd really like to implement a bike sharing program in downtown Phoenix. It would connect to lightrail and zip car and would give people easier access to downtown businesses without the dependence on cars and parking.

4. What does Phoenix have that no other city does?
The talented and passionate people I've met, continue to meet and hope to meet soon who are invested in helping downtown Phoenix come alive. Phoenix has a diverse group of people who care about local businesses, the local economy, the history of downtown as well as its future.

5. What's something you want Phoenix to know about you (and if you're game, what's something you don't want Phoenix to know about you).

Want to know: I'll put the rumors to rest. My real last name is not Poondingo. Poondingo came from my last name Poon and my husbands last name Domingo.

Don't want to know: It's really embarrassing, and you may not want to read on if your gag reflex doesn't exist. But I eat ranch on everything. I especially love ranch on rice. Yes, you read right. Ranch. On. Rice.
