During the months of August and September, Calaca Cultural Center will present "FootPrints - SB1070," a comprehensive exhibition that documents the struggles with and reactions to the immigration law.
Rather than a let's-get-this-out-there-asap response to the controversial law, "Footprints" will showcase a thought-out multimedia presentation that's been months in the making. The show will include original posters that were constructed and displayed during the May 29 anti-SB 1070 demonstrations as well as video footage, found-sound audio, visual art, and other related items.
The exhibit -- part of the Calaca Community Gallery Series and Traveling Exhibition Series -- is scheduled to open with a First Friday reception from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, August 6, at Bragg's Pie Factory, 1301 Grand Avenue.
