Lynn Fisher will admit to it: if you tell her your birthday once, she'll never forget. Her attention to detail and draw toward oddity is what's reflected in her work ranging from painting and sculpture to mixed media and web design.

"Through my art school years, my work focused on Asian stereotypes and adoption, adding a bit of humor to otherwise serious topics," she writes. "Lately, my world has turned digital, focusing more on web design and illustration. I'm a nerd at heart and I think my work reflects that." You can find more of her work, including a sushi abacus and a paint chip mosaic, on her website, Lynn and Tonic.

But first check out her inspirations and projects after the jump...

1. List 5 things on your Inspiration Wall (real or imagined)
- Asia (the continent)
- Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Battlestar Galactica, and anything else appropriately nerdy
- Wes Anderson
- Musée d'Orsay
- All of my amazing meltmedia coworkers

2. What was your last big project?

I'd have to say my last big project was my painting series titled "We Were All Yellow". It is a study on Asian stereotypes and perceptions in America, depicting Caucasian individuals in stereotypical and traditional Asian settings.

3. What's your next big project?
Honestly, I'm not really sure. I've been doing some illustrations of lovable and iconic film characters in everyday situations. It has just been for fun, but it'd be neat to do something more with it.

4. What do you think the Phoenix art scene needs more of?
More Harry Potter inspired work. Just kidding! ...sort of.

5. What's something you want Phoenix to know about you?
As introverted as I am, I do love to talk to people. Once I get on a topic I love (e.g. The Office, Lord of the Rings, etc.), I'll never shut up. I get mistaken for Native American regularly, but I'm actually Korean.

6. What's something you don't want Phoenix to know about you?
I can only see about a foot in front of me without my glasses.
