The menu will include "elevated shack food," according to Dressing Room partner Troy Watkins.
You already may have seen the sign in the window of the building at 220 East Roosevelt Street in downtown Phoenix, but, according to Troy Watkins, it's going to be a few more months until the newest restaurant on Roosevelt Row is ready to open its doors.

Called The Dressing Room, the restaurant will serve a menu of what partners Watkins and Kyu Utsunomiya are calling "elevated shack food" -- as in breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and more.

Sam Fox to Open Second Flower Child Location in North Scottsdale This May

James Beard Award-nominated restaurateur Sam Fox's fast-casual health food spot Flower Child is blooming this spring.

In May, about a year after the first location opened at 40th Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix, Fox plans to open a second Flower Child restaurant in North Scottsdale.

Teriyaki Madness, Colorado-Based Restaurant, to Open Location in Mesa Next Week

The restaurant will be the first location in Arizona.
Sam Jack, a former IT consultant turned restaurateur, is bringing Denver-based restaurant chain Teriyaki Madness to Mesa next week.

The restaurant will be located at 229 South Power Road, on the southeast corner of Southern Avenue and Power Road, and will be the first Teriyaki Madness located in Arizona.

MAD Greens, Colorado-Based Salad Restaurant, to Open First Arizona Location in Tempe

The Colorado-based company hopes to open two locations in Arizona this spring and summer.
This spring, Tempe will welcome the first Arizona location of MAD Greens, a Colorado-based fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in salads, pressed juices, panini, wraps, and soups.

The company already operates 12 restaurants throughout Colorado and plans to open at least one additional location in metro Phoenix by the summer. The Tempe restaurant will not only be the first in Arizona, but also the first MAD Greens restaurant located outside Colorado.

Cuisine & Wine Bistro, Formerly MWC Bistro, Is Now Open in Gilbert

It's only been about a year since Zoya Vora-Shah, owner of My Wine Cellar in Ahwatukee, opened a second restaurant and wine bar called MWC Bistro in Gilbert. Both spots offered a neighborhood vibe and a hand-picked wine list, as well as craft beers and a menu of seasonal cuisine.

But this week MWC Bistro changed hands. At the new Cuisine & Wine Bistro owners Fabrice and Mairead Buschtetz plan to focus more on food, with a new menu that draws inspiration from international cuisines.

This month saw a whole slew of restaurant openings including some highly anticipated concepts from local restaurateurs Peter Kasperski and German Osio. February also introduced some new restaurants in familiar spaces -- Cafe Tranquilo took over the space formerly occupied by Gallo Blanco the old Bungalow Bar and Grill in Scottsdale debuted as a new Long Island-themed restaurant called The Montauk.

O.H.S.O. Brewery to Open Third Location Near Paradise Valley Next Month

Dog lovers and beer fanatics of the Paradise Valley area, get excited. Within the next few weeks, O.H.S.O Brewery will open at third location at 10810 North Tatum Boulevard, in the Paradise Valley Marketplace on the northwest corner of Tatum and Shea.

As with the other two O.H.S.O. locations, the original in Arcadia and second in Scottsdale, the Paradise Valley bar and restaurant will offer housemade brews and a dog-friendly patio. The newest location will also have a 10-barrel, two-story brewhouse with a private table inside.

Christopher Collins To Open Twisted Root Parlor + Bar in Scottsdale Next Month

Chef Christopher Collins, the guy behind Grassroots Kitchen in Scottsdale and Tempe and son of Wally Collins of Wally's American Pub 'n Grille, will add a new restaurant to the family collection next month. The new spot, called Twisted Root Parlor + Bar, will be located at 8220 N. Hayden Road in Scottsdale, taking over the space formerly occupied by Scottsdale Station.

Compared to the other spots in the Common Ground Culinary arsenal (that's the restaurant development company Collins started that includes Grassroots and Wally's), this new spot aims to be cooler, younger, and more casual. Look for community tables, handmade cocktails, and affordable American fare.

Pomo Pizzeria to Open Fourth Location, Italian Bistro, and Market in Glendale Later This Month

Scottsdale-based Pomo Restaurant Group recently announced plans to open a fourth location of Pomo Pizzeria in Glendale. The restaurant already has two locations in Scottsdale and Phoenix, as well as a third location that's currently under construction in Gilbert.

The newest Pomo Pizzeria will take over the space formerly occupied by Tutti Santi by Nina at 19420 North 59th Avenue at Glendale's Citadelle Plaza Shopping Center. The restaurant also will include a new Italian bistro and market concept, the first of its kind from the restaurant group.

The new restaurant opened this weekend, just in time for Mardi Gras.
Just in time for Mardi Gras, the southeast Valley will be getting a new destination for Southern eats such as crawfish, etouffee, and gumbo. On Saturday, February 14 a new restaurant called Creole Cajun Bistro, located at 5070 S. Gilbert Road in Chandler, will open its doors to the public.

The restaurant comes courtesy of husband and wife team Eric Rachal, a former real estate appraiser, and Jodi Haynes. This will be the couple's first experience owning a restaurant, though they formerly owned a catering business in southern California.
