Wild Game Brings Bison Burgers and Big Screens to CenPho This Fall

Just in time for football season, CenPho is getting a new bar and grill equipped with a 120-by-65-inch dual projector. That means we predict a lot of you will be spending sometime in front of the big screen at Wild Game Sports Grill this fall, and who could blame you?

Wild Game is scheduled to open in the next couple of weeks near 24th Street and Thomas Road. The new spot promises a "chef-driven menu" with smoked wings, salads, gourmet burgers, and more. What exactly "more" entails is what makes this spot more than your average sports bar -- trust us.

"And, yes, we're also going to tempt your taste buds with some wild game menu items," the restaurant's website adds.

According to the owners, this means wild boar bacon, bison sliders, venison/elk chili, and more will be on the menu.

In terms of drinks, the owners promise "a great variety of tasty, great-looking specialty drinks using fresh ingredients and high-end spirits." The bar also will serve beer and wine. Sounds good to us, but what about the game?

On top of having that massive projector playing your favorite sport as big as you can stand to watch it, there also will be several other TVs, though the folks at Wild Game mentioned that there wouldn't be too many TVs, either. Other entertainment in the "modern building" will include state-of-the-art audio/video/Wi-Fi (if you've got to update your fantasy team in a pinch), and even the occasional live music performance.

Although an official opening date has yet to be set for Wild Game, the crew plans to be ready at the end of August or the first week of September, at the latest. If you want to keep up with the bar's progress, you can check out the Wild Game Sports Grill Facebook page.
