Always wanted to own your own Lo-Lo's? Now you can.
If you've driven down Scottsdale Road recently, you may have noticed a new building going up just south of Drinkwater Bouldevard on the east side of the street. Well that new building is the home of Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles Scottsdale, as in the second location of the well-loved soul food joint founded by Larry White Jr. (or, Lo-Lo) and Rasheedah White in 2002.

But shiny, new Scottsdale digs, which will replace the location that opened in 2009 just down the street, are far from the only big plans coming from the locally-owned restaurant. Lo-Lo's has teamed up with "real estate veterans" Mike Anderson, Bret Anderson, and Dave Sellers to launch the restaurant concept as a national franchise brand.

The new Scottsdale location of Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles will be located at 3133 N. Scottsdale Road. That's just about a quarter mile north of the existing location at 2765 N. Scottsdale Road. The new restaurant is expected to open in September.

A Gilbert location of Lo-Lo's is also slated to open in November at Heritage Marketplace, a new 31,000-square-foot mixed-use complex in Gilbert's historical Heritage District. A Lo-Lo's Chicken & Waffles restaurant also opened at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport earlier this summer.

And if that's still not enough Lo-Lo's for you, if you have $200,000 to invest, you can now open your own Lo-Lo's franchise location. The company has launched the restaurant as a national franchise brand and is seeking partners to open Lo-Lo's locations in states such as California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.

The restaurant also set up a franchise opportunity website for interested parties.

Lo Lo's is OK its basically the only place that specializes in Chicken n Waffles. There should be chicken n waffle places all over town.

OK, I grew up on Southern cooking, but don't eat most of it now.

I've been to Roscoe's because Lolo's was too busy. I never had Lolo's thanks to that.

Bring a LoLo's to ALASKA!!! You would make a killing up here! That food would be perfect for these winters.

My wonderful wife and I went to May's kitchen last week for their great waffles and chicken. I had just chicken and she had caramel and pecan waffles and chicken which was awesom! If you are in Tucson, give them a shot.

The food is pretty good but the management is some of the rudest I have ever come in contact with in all of my time eating out! I had one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had in my life there and have not and will not go back, ever.

For all the haters, you're doing it wrong if you don't like it. You've gotta get your chicken "smothered" and your waffle has to be "crispy" add pecans. Comments about over priced? Go to taco bell or the grocery store. When you go to a sit down restaurant, expect to pay. Also, chicken ain't cheap. Ever noticed that? CHICKEN EVERYWHERE IS EXPENSIVE.

Been going for 5 years. Not one bad plate. Clean, competent staff, and for the money you won't get better. Maybe yall just don't like SOUTHERN fried chicken and waffles??

You may call it overpriced or bland, but it is head and shoulders above Denny's, IHOP. And still cheaper than Harlowe's.

Over priced and the chicken is way over cooked. I've tried it twice thinking it would get better, but just got the same dried over fried chicken.

Launching national franchise expansion = synonymously reducing standards, quality of ingredients, and customer satisfaction.
