You've had plenty of opportunity to pig out on the Bink's Midtown patio. For more than a year now, the central Phoenix restaurant courtesy of James Beard Award-nominated chef Kevin Binkley has been hosting weekly whole pig roasts with themes that change from week to week.

Earlier this year we even took you behind-the-scenes to show you how the restaurant preps and roasts a whole pig.

But this upcoming party will be different. Instead of offering diners meat from the whole animal, chef Binkley will be showcasing meat strictly from the animal's head. That means everything from cheeks to snout -- and yes, even eyeballs.

It may sound like an unappealing meal to some, but Binkley's not the only chef in town who's out to open our eyes to the delicious potential a pig's head can hold.

The all-you-can-eat Pig's Head Party will take place on Sunday, August 3 at Bink's Midtown. Admission to the event, which runs from noon to 4 p.m., costs $24.95 a person.

Guests will be able to taste a variety of dishes made from pig's head sourced from a local Phoenix butcher shop. Chef Binkley has been experimenting with the best ways to prepare a pig's head and the process he's perfected includes brining, braising, slow-roasting and glaze.

In addition to the all-you-can-eat menu, guests can look forward to $2 brown bag beers, and happy hour pricing on all cocktails, wine, draft and bottled beer.

If you can't make it to the Bink's Midtown party, you'll still have plenty of opportunity to pig out on a pig's head.

Chef Cullen Campbell of Crudo will soon be launching a new menu that will include the option for diners to order a whole roasted pig head with accompaniments -- think, ricotta, arugula, house made marmellata, and grilled Noble Bread. Crudo's pig head, which will be brined and roasted, will cost $60 and will require 72 hour notice. It will serve between two and eight people -- as a meal for two, or a shared appetizer for larger parties.

Stay turned for more information about the new Crudo menu. For reservations to the All-You-Can-Eat Pig's Head Party call Bink's Midtown at 602-388-4874.

Are you people serious? If you eat any part of a hog, you can't be disgusted. If you don't eat any at all, then why even add your two cents? There aren't many places that I would entrust to roast a whole pig, but Binks knows what they're doing.

Nothing like pig head on a 114-degree day! I'll pass.

Well, this pretty much ensured that I'll never be going to Bink's Midtown.
