Orange Table's brunch burger.
For years, Orange Table has been our go-to spot for brunch in Old Town Scottsdale. The restaurant's cozy location, neighborhood feel, and one-of-a-kind dishes (where else can you get chimichurri corned beef hash or a heaping plate of white flannel?!) made it a gem of the dining scene.

But that's about to change. The restaurant is now under new management and ownership and will be closing in September. After undergoing a complete makeover, it will reopen in October as Park Place Bar & Grill.

A post on the Orange Table Facebook says the restaurant will close on Sunday, September 7 and reopen as a new concept called Park Place Bar & Grill on Monday, October 6.

The current owners have sold the restaurant to Paul Mitchell of the nearby bar, Old Town Tavern, according to the Orange Table website. Mitchell plans to remodel the restaurant, change the kitchen and dining room, and expand the bar and patio.

"While the name will be changing and a new fresh concept brought to you, much of the food items and staff will remain the same," the website promises.

But that doesn't mean nothing will change. New additions to the concept will include "specialty cocktails, drinks, and appetizers in the evening," as well as live music at night.

Orange Table joins a growing number of restaurants around town to undergo quick re-conceptualizations. Earlier this summer Mucho Gusto in Tempe closed and re-opened after less than a month as The Revival. Cork in Chandler also closed and re-opened as a more casual dining spot called Earnest.

Yea, I agree with Deanna; it wasn't special enough to re-visit and their food was a bit snobbish.

Probably a good idea since the last time i was there the service sucked, and we waited over an hour after we ordered our food, and then left without eating. Waited for 30 minutes to be seated in addition. \
