For years The Parlor Pizzeria has been one of our favorite places to go for dinner with family and friends. There's rarely a party that objects to the restaurant's menu of wood fired pizza and handmade pastas and The Parlor keeps even the most food-forward interested with seasonal specials and use of gourmet ingredients. Best of all, it's all pretty reasonably priced -- we've always though $10 for a gourmet pizza was a steal.
We still remember the first time we tried the Yukon Gold pizza. Potatoes were never our topping of choice, but after one bite of this pie we were convinced. The combination of tender slices of potato and salty Gorgonzola cheese works perfectly against the slices of cured Italian pancetta. A generous sprinkling of rosemary adds as a woody fragrance to the dish.
