Though it's taken a bit longer for craft brews to take hold on the west side of town, there is definitely still hope for beer aficionados of the West Valley. A new microbrewery has opened its doors in Peoria, with plans to bring quality brews of unique styles to local restaurants and brewpubs.

Freak'N Brewing Company opened a tasting room earlier this week at 9299 W. Olive Avenue, inside the Olive Business Park near Loop 101 and Olive Avenue.

If the name sounds familiar, it's because Freak'N Brewing Company has been around for several years already and has made appearances at events and local competitions including the 2013 Great AZ Home Brew Competition and Arizona Beer Week.

For now the brewery has three beers on tap, all of which are available by the pint or growler. Here's what's available right now:

  • Freak'N American Wit
  • Freak'N Sessio'N Cream Ale
  • Freak'N IPA

Hopefully their beers will be better than the other westside breweries but I do not hold out too much hope for them, they are making a boring cream ale for petes sake.
