Any time bacon is used as a sprinkle, we're happy.

Typically when we reach for a donut, we prefer thick, crumbly cake donuts with lots of cinnamon sugar on top. However, Rainbow Donuts won us over to the world of yeast donuts.

The chewy, light, and fluffy ring of fried dough served up fresh daily at the no-frills Phoenix joint is great on its own, but why settle for great when you can have downright indulgent? That's where the maple glaze and bacon come in. The sweet, mapley flavor of the glaze has all of the best parts of the taste of a pancake smothered in syrup. However, no breakfast would be complete without thick, smoky, salty bacon to join in on the fun.

When the power of maple and bacon combine atop a donut, good things happen. Even if it isn't the most healthy way to start the day, it sure will put a smile on your face. Plus, at $1.35 per flavorful treat, you won't have to justify anything other than the calories to yourself. Hey, you can start your diet tomorrow.
