If you've ever done a stint of vegetarianism, especially if you traveled while doing so, you know that falafel is the lifeblood of any herbivore. However, even if you do eat meat, there's a lot to love about Al-Hana Restaurant's falafel sandwich.

The Middle Eastern deli is located inside Baiz Market, and it's the real deal. From rotating spits of roasting meat to freshly baked pita bread, Al-Hana's a cut above the rest. It's no surprise that its falafel outshines the competition too.

Warm medallions of chick peas are generously spiced and perfectly crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside. Parsley, pickled onion, lettuce, tomatoes, and tahini join the falafel, all wrapped up in a housemade pita. Best of all, the whole thing, which is a meal in itself, is under $4. There's nothing to dislike about Al-Hana's falafel sandwich.
