Let's face it: French fries are pretty much the best food in the entire world. They are one of those enduring classics that carry you from childhood to adulthood without losing their appeal. While we still can't help but get McDonald's fries sometimes (don't judge), we're also happy that places like Bourbon Steak in North Scottsdale are updating them with posh ingredients to create a whole new fry experience.
Anytime anyone asks us where to go for french fries in town, we immediately blurt out Bourbon Steak. For $5 you get thin-cut fries, perfectly browned and crisped up in decadent duck fat, with three different fry seasoning and dipping sauce pairings. However, the more classic take with sea salt and black pepper suits us just fine.
We wouldn't be exaggerating at all if we said that the first time we tried these fries, we nearly got teary eyed. Fries have always been there for us and we'd never had them done quite this darn elegantly and deliciously before. Definitely worth the drive up to NoSco on their own.
