This week Chandler's Cork restaurant will celebrate six years of business with special deals and events beginning with offering half off all bottles of wine on Tuesday. The restaurant offers more than 250 selections including rare bottles such as Sea Smoke "Southing" Pinot Noir and local favorites like Pillsbury "Wild Child White" and Sand Reckoner's "5" Red Blend. Other events include a Sand Reckoner Vineyards Wine Dinner on Wednesday ($125/person) and a Throwback 6th Anniversary Menu on Thursday that includes Cork's Mac & Cheese with BBQ pork belly, smoked bacon, wild mushrooms and 4-year aged Widmers cheddar; Basil-Crusted Ostrich with panzanella salad, local olive oil and saba; and Pan-Roasted Barramundi with spaghetti squash, roasted tomato and uni buerre blanc.

This week Quiessence at the Farm at South Mountain will host the first of its Wine Makers Dinners. The series kicks off with a 5-course dinner paired with a collection of Arizona's Lawrence Dunham Vineyards wines. The menu includes housemade charcuterie paired with 2012 Viognier; Alaskan Halibut with fennel purée, cherry tomatoes, pancetta vinaigrette, and basil paired with 2010 Sky Island Grenache; and brick oven braised lamb with Flageolet beans, spring vegetables, green garlic, and mint paired with The Signature 2011 Petite Sirah.
