The Handlebar will release a new menu this week.
Handlebar Tempe
Tuesday, March 11

On Tuesday, Mill Avenue's Handlebar will debut a new menu that includes beers, cocktails, and food. To celebrate, it's hosting a New Menu Release Party and offering an extended happy hour from 5 to 8 p.m. that will include half off all draft beers and all beer cocktails. Look forward to new items on the bar's beer menu as well as two new cocktails: The Highland Donkey & The Flemish Cherry. Product reps also will be around, so that means there will be free samples, comps, and other gifts.

Friends of the James Beard Benefit Dinner

The annual "Friends of the James Beard Foundation" dinner is one of our favorite events of the year, and this year, the dinner will bring four featured chefs to the Valley for what's sure to be one incredible meal. The lineup this year includes Chef James Boyce of Cotton Row in Huntsville, Alabama (formerly of Mary Elaine's in Scottsdale); Chef Susur Lee of Lee Restaurants in Toronto; Chef Floyd Cardoz of North End Grill, New York; and Chef Pierre Poulin of Aureole in New York. The evening will begin with reception at 6 p.m. and dinner will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $225 a person. For more information visit the Scottsdale Culinary Festival website.
