Amy's Baking Company: Kitchen Nightmares Season 6 Premiere Will Air (Finally) in April
Amy's Baking Company Samy and Amy Bouzaglo
UPDATE: Shortly after the publication of this post Amy Bouzaglo confirmed to Chow Bella that the episode of Dr. Phil in which she and her husband will appear is scheduled to air on Wednesday, April 9.
We told you late last year that Amy and Samy Bouzaglo, the infamous owners of Amy's Baking Company restaurant in Scottsdale, would be returning to reality T.V. in the season premiere of shouty-chef Gordan Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. That episode, titled "Return to Amy's Baking Company," was supposed to air on Friday, February 28.
Obviously that date has come and gone. The episode was postponed (along with an episode of Dr. Phil, in which the couple was supposed to appear) due to scheduling issues, according to Joanna Wolff of Fox Television. Back in February the company didn't release any information about when the episode would air, but have recently set a date for the new season premiere.
Kitchen Nightmares' "Return to Amy's Baking Company" will air from 9 to 10 p.m. ET/PT on Friday, April 11. According to Fox, the new episode will include "never-before-seen footage" and "an exclusive interview with Amy and Samy." It will also show what's been going on at Amy's Baking Company in the year since the original show aired.
The episode will be a follow-up to the season five finale, during which Ramsay walked out on the Bouzaglos without completing the restaurant makeover. It was the first time in the history of the show that the chef left without finishing a job.
During the episode that already aired, the Bouzaglos were shown taking servers' tips and yelling at customers (along other crazy things), which ignited a firestorm of social media backlash. The rest, as they say, is history.
We spoke to Amy earlier this week and though she said at the time that she couldn't talk about anything specific or confirm if and/or when the show would air, she have this to say:
"People think it's calm right now, but this is the quiet before the storm. And sometimes storms are bad and sometimes storms are good -- and we've already been through a bad storm."
