While the flagship Mediterra operates out of Pittsburgh, a Coolidge branch, opened by the founders' father, started turning out bread in 2012 and since has been a farmers market favorite. Crusty on the outside and pillowy on the inside, the farm bread has great sourdough flavor. And the signature swirling design atop each loaf is what makes us stop and pick up a couple of loaves time and time again.

Each variety of Mediterra bread, which includes loaves studded with Kalamata olives, French baguette, and more, is $5 or $6, or you can get two of any kind for $10.
