The Market by Jennifer's in Arcadia Opens Tomorrow
Arcadia's Gaslight Square, at Indian School Road and 36th Street and home to restaurants like Nook and Cullen Campbell's Crudo, will see the opening of its newest tenant at 11 a.m., this Saturday, January 11: The Market by Jennifer's.
The Market by Jennifer's Friends and family night on Wednesday, January 8.
Owned by chef Jennifer Russo-Fitzgerald of Jennifer's Catering, The Market by Jennifer's features familiar eats made with seasonal ingredients served up in-house, as grab-and-go items, and via catering through a curbside service.
Here's what to expect.
Russo Fitzgerald, who previously worked with Valley tastemakers Vincent Guerithault (Vincent on Camelback) and Mark Tarbell (Tarbell's), has brought on executive chef Matt McLinn to helm the kitchen. McLinn, formerly executive chef and general manager of The Grind, opened BLT Steak at Scottsdale's Camelback Inn in 2009 as well as opening his own Scottsdale restaurant, Méthode Bistro, in 2006.
Jennifer's lunch and dinner menus offer a selection of "nosh boards" (think charcuterie, farmstead cheese, and roasted vegetables); appetizers such as butternut squash soup ($7) and rock shrimp watercress salad ($9); and entrees like a roasted pork Cuban sandwich ($12), mini raviolis filled with wild mushrooms and roasted chicken ($13), and a pancetta-wrapped bistro filet ($21).
Desserts include a S'mores board ($7) as well as an apple bourbon stack with vanilla bean gelato ($7).
Located in the back of the Gaslight Square shopping center and next door to Crudo, The Market by Jennifer's newly remodeled space includes a patio, wood and marble tables, and a chef's table in the middle of the kitchen.
