"Please apply the enclosed $6.00 towards the legal fees Ms Owen Kramer received for her efforts nabbing Exit 6 in our dastardly F Word naming practices."
When a small brewery outside St. Louis received a cease and desist letter from corporate coffee magnate Starbucks for naming its beer "Frappicino" (a slightly different spelling of the trademarked Starbucks drink), owner Jeff Britton decided to respond in possibly the best way ever. His genius reply starts with his refusal to use the word correct spelling, "Frappucino" ("at risk of further lawsuits"), opting instead to refer to the name of Starbuck's blended drinks as "The F Word" throughout the entirety of his letter. It goes on to include this:

We never thought that our beer drinking customers would have thought that the alcoholic beverage coming out of the tap would have actually been coffee from one of the many, many, many stores located a few blocks away. I guess that with there being a Starbucks on every corner of every block in every city that some people may think they could get a Starbucks at a local bar. So that was our mistake.

Britton also apologizes for "any harm damage Exit 6 did to Starbucks." He admits that he would have named the beer "Frappucino" (the proper spelling of the Starbucks drink) except that he's a really bad speller.

He was even nice enough to include a check for $6 -- the entire profits he made off the selling three of the unfortunately named brews, writing:

"Please apply the enclosed $6.00 towards the legal fees Ms Owen Kramer received for her efforts nabbing Exit 6 in our dastardly F Word naming practices. We realize Mr Bucks probably paid her more than Exit 6 made last year. We just want to help a business like Starbucks. Us small business owners need to stick together."
