The Pizza Underground: Macaulay Culkin and His Bandmates Are Super Obsessed with Pizza
If you were watching any of the Home Alone movies lately wondering, "Gee, what's Macaulay Culkin up to these days?" here is the answer. He's busy singing and playing kazoo in a band called the Pizza Undergroud.
Laura Hahnefeld Pizza from Nook in Phoenix would surely inspire this band.
But why is it called the Pizza Underground? Because the band is "just trying to focus on what's important...the pizza."

In an interview with MTV (you can watch it below) one of the band member explains, "We were bitten by a radioactive pizza slice in the hills of Catalonia. We used to be one person and we've now become five."
That's right, five deadpan rockers singing pizza-themed covers of the Velvet Underground. Their list of songs -- all recorded at Culkin's house -- include "Papa John Says," "All the Pizza Parties," and "Take a Bite of the Wild Slice." You can hear them all on their Bandcamp page -- and surprisingly it doesn't sound as bad as you're probably imagining.
There's also an 8-minute Pizza Underground documentary availiable via Rolling Stone. In it you can see them using pizza boxes as drums (because, duh, what else would a pizza band use as a drum?) and generally taking themselves very seriously.
