Here's That Boston vs. New York Pizza and Sub Shop in Tempe You Were Asking About
Besides having one of the longest and fiercest rivalries in baseball (see: "Curse of the Bambino"), the competition between Boston and New York has also included summer hangouts, bars, and even marathons.
So, you know how you were saying, "Why can't these two major U.S. cities take their fight to, oh, I don't know, Tempe -- and in the form of foods like pizza and subs?"
They did, at Boston vs. New York, the two-week-old restaurant at 425 Mill Avenue (formerly Paisan's Pizza & Italian Kitchen).
The best part? This rivalry stays up late.
Boston vs. New York comes courtesy of owner Armando DeLeon, who moved from The Cradle of Liberty to the Valley in July. He's put together a menu of 18-inch pizzas and signature subs with names like The Boston Strong, Mr. October, Broadway, and Larry Legend. And unlike the bars in Boston, which shut down around 1:45, DeLeon's restaurant stays open until 3 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
